Ideal Farmers Launches IFYRA 2024
The 2024 edition of the Ideal Farmers Youth Recognition Award (IFYRA), an annual Youth Agricultural Award that recognizes outstanding young individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of agriculture was launched on Monday 09th September 2023 by Ideal Farmers.
Ideal Farmers is an agricultural firm that collects data, analyzes agricultural problems, and provides farmers with the best and most sustainable agricultural practices/solutions to help them increase productivity and navigate complex and ever-changing environmental conditions. Some of their activities involve Greenhouse Construction, Soil analysis, Project Writing, and more.
Ideal Farmers hopes to use IFYRA to change the narrative and stereotypes about agriculture. Agriculture has traditionally been regarded as a job for the unemployed, the elderly, and those living in villages.
The Three Phases of IFYRA
The competition is made up of three phrases which are:
- The Nomination Phrase
- The Voting Phrase
- The Award Ceremony
IFYRA comes in to appreciate all those stakeholders who are trying their all to promote agriculture. It seeks to appreciate those who actually go to the farm and those who promote agriculture off the farms. This year’s edition was launched with the following categories:
